    March 5, 20252 Mins Read

Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire was named alongside several other towns in Scotland, including Greenock in Inverclyde and East Kilbride near Glasgow.

While Scottish spots dominated the list, there were a few locations in England that made the cut, including Blackpool and Burnley.

The average asking price for a typical first-time buyer home in Kilmarnock was found to be just over £84,000.

Further down the ranking was Paisley, where houses cost little under £100,000 and other Scottish spots like Ayr.

In another list highlighting the average asking price of a home in nations and regions across Britain, Scotland was found to be one of the cheapest with homes costing around £140,000 on average.

For comparison, London, which was the most expensive location, had an average asking price of around half a million.
