Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty remains volatile; Coal India up over 4%

    April 27, 20262 Mins Read

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are reflecting the mood of volatility as the NIfty trades around 24,100, moving with a difference of around 50 points. The Nifty Bank is under some pressure, falling over 250 points. Coal India, Adani Enterprises and ONGC are amongst the major gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are moving with caution as the Nifty trades largely flat in a volatile market, with an uptick of just about 50 points, trading around 24,100. The Sensex is marginally lower, falling around 100 points, dropping to 77,250.

The Nifty Bank index, on expected lines, is under pressure, falling over 250 points, moving around 56,000.

Banking stock will be put to the test with them being in focus after the new RBI ECL guidelines. The Nifty Bank was very volatile on Monday but managed a close above the mark of 56,000 regardless.

That remains the key level for the banking index. Within banks, Macquarie sees a greater hit to PSU Banks from the ECL guidelines. The big earnings of the day come from Maruti, as the automaker reports numbers today. Along with it, Bandhan Bank, CEAT, Castrol, Dalmia Bharat, Piramal Pharma, REC and Eternal also report results.
