Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Market sentiment remains fragile on Sensex weekly expiry as Nifty 50 defends the 22,800 mark. Crude oil prices, bond yields, and Jio Platforms IPO are key monitors today.
The only important monitorable beyond earnings has been the crude oil prices, which remain around the $110 a barrel mark. The bond yields also need to be watched as the India 10-year now is at 7.43%, the highest since 2023. On the upside, any potential recovery towards the 23,000 mark could face supply.
Today will also be the second day of the Jio Platforms IPO after a historic day 1, which saw bids worth ₹70,000 crore being placed. Liquidity worth ₹1.8 lakh crore also returns to the system today in the form of refunds of the four IPOs that closed for subscription on Monday. It remains to be seen where that is headed.
54,500 – 55,500 remains the key range for the Nifty Bank and only a sustained close above 56,000 could change the momentum there.
