Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It has been a very strong week for the Nifty 50 index so far, with a move of nearly 400 points in the first three sessions. Buoyed by hopes of a trade deal with the US, the exit polls in Bihar, and better-than-expected results from companies during the September quarter, the index is making an effort to head back to the 26,000 mark.

The broader markets are in a league of their own with the Midcap index hitting a record high on Wednesday.

The Nifty is finding some resistance in the 25,900 – 26,000 band and Wednesday’s high of 25,933 will be the first important level to watch on the upside. The only blemish in an otherwise good day for the markets would have been the Nifty Bank’s underperformance, and despite a 100-point gain, the index ended near the lows of the day.

In the last heavy day for earnings this season, companies like Eicher, Hero, LG Electronics, NSDL, Voltas, PG Electroplast among others will be reporting results. Earnings reactions from Tata Steel, Cochin Shipyard, Data Patterns, Afcons Infra, KNR Constructions, PNC Infratech among others will also be seen.
