    August 29, 20244 Mins Read

AMES, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2024) – Cyclone Sports Properties and Iowa State University Athletics have announced a 10-year agreement with PoetrYY Finance, naming the financial technology company the “Official Digital Banking Partner of Iowa State Athletics.”

PoetrYY provides digital banking solutions¹ and is the first financial services platform dedicated to serving collegiate athletes to address their NIL digital banking needs. The digital fintech company is led by Delon Turner, Founder of 7Even Hills Venture Capital, where he specializes in fintech and consumer investments. Turner brings strategic vision and expertise in innovative financial technology solutions, supported by his MBA from Northwestern University’s renowned Kellogg School of Business.

“We’re honored to partner with Iowa State, where the Cyclone spirit thrives through its students, athletes, and alumni,” said Delon Turner, Chairman of PoetrYY Finance. “Our goal is to engage with the entire community to deliver financial tools that empower their success both today and in the future. Together, we’re building a pathway for financial well-being that aligns with Iowa State’s enduring legacy of progress and achievement.”

In addition to serving as the Cyclones’ official digital banking partner, PoetrYY will be featured in various game sponsorships at home football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball contests including premium TV visible assets inside Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum.

PoettrYY’s partnership with Iowa State will also provide numerous NIL opportunities for Cyclone student-athletes across multiple sports to serve as brand ambassadors, as well as a branded original content series created in collaboration with Learfield Studios.

“Our whole purpose at the We Will Collective is to support and empower Cyclone student-athletes, and PoetrYY’s alignment with that mission makes them a perfect partner for the collective, our student-athletes and all of Iowa State Athletics,” said Brent Blum, We Will Collective Executive Director. “Their commitment to providing financial literacy and stability is an incredible asset for our student-athletes and we are thrilled to foster the relationship between PoetrYY, the Cyclones and the entire Iowa State community.”

“PoetrYY is doing great things for student-athletes in the NIL era of college athletics, and we are excited to bring them even closer to the Cyclones through this partnership,” said Chris Andrews, Vice President and General Manager of Cyclone Sports Properties. “Their commitment to our athletic department and student-athletes is outstanding. By offering innovative ways to enhance the financial wellbeing of Cyclone student-athletes and fans, they are making a significant difference in our community.”

Cyclone Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college sports – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Iowa State University Athletics and oversees all sponsorship agreements on behalf of the Cyclones. Cyclone Sports Properties does not represent the student-athletes themselves but collaborates with corporate partners to maximize sponsorship agreements with the inclusion of NIL programs and the integration of university marks and logos within those programs.
