Utilities firm hails demand flow as numbers rise

    September 24, 20252 Mins Read

A utilities firm has hailed its hardiness in a “challenging economic backdrop” after posting stronger financial results.

Everflow recorded interim unaudited revenue of £119.3 million in the first half of 2025.

Gross profit came in at £12.5 million as customer numbers rose seven per cent to 121,000 premises.

Bosses at the company, which provides water supply and waste collection services, say the figures were driven by “a customer-first approach and focus on innovation”, with waste customer numbers rising 35 per cent year-on-year.

And they say the firm, which operates from bases in Peterlee, east Durham, and Nuneaton, near Coventry, is primed to expand further, with demand for its 2024-launched broadband and phone products arm leaving it well positioned to grow.

Craig Dallison, chief executive, said: “These results demonstrate the dedication of our people and the true value we create for customers.

“We remain committed to innovation and continued investment in technology to make utility management even simpler and more seamless.

“By expanding our service lines, we’re enabling customers to manage more from a single platform.

“The strong growth we’ve seen in the first-half is testament to our ambition to scale, and we’re well positioned to build on this momentum in the coming months and years.”

Lucy Armstrong, chair, added: “Everflow made its mark as a disruptor early into the opening of the business-to-business water retail market, and we continue to keep that challenger mindset at our heart as we build our service offering.”
