    Utilities Down, But not by Much, on Safe-Haven Demand — Utilities Roundup

    Shares of power producers fell, finishing flat on the week, amid defensive demand.

    The utilities industry group has held up better than the broad market during the recent correction, as it stands to gain from the slide in Treasury yields and an appetite for safe havens.

    Investors are retreating from cyclical sectors due to the growing uncertainty about the outlook for growth and inflation cited by global central banks, including the Federal Reserve.
