    Utilities Down, But not by Much, on Safe Haven Demand — Utilities Roundup

    Shares of power producers fell, but not by as much as the broad market, as traders rotated into safe havens.

    Treasury yields fell, a development that typically supports the price of utility stocks.

    The Energy Department is eliminating two of its biggest offices that channeled billions of dollars into clean-energy projects, the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, another step in President Trump’s efforts to block federal support for technologies designed to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.
