    Utilities Down As Defensive Traders Move to Gold — Utilities Roundup

    Shares of power producers fell as traders rotated out of the defensive sector into rival safe havens, such as gold.

    The SPDR Select Sector Utilities exchange-traded fund, which tracks the utilities industry group of the broad S&P 500, fell 1% to $82.62, more than 5% below a recent peak.
