    Hundreds of new jobs as United Utilities holds jobs fair

    The North West water and wastewater company is in the first phase of a programme to grow its team as it continues to deliver its largest ever environmental investment programme.

    Hundreds of roles, including process operators, process controllers, field service engineers and customer support technicians, are available in the company’s wastewater division.

    With roles based across the region including in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria and Lancashire the company is inviting people the opportunity to find out more at on online jobs event being held at 4pm on Wednesday 4 March.

    As well as providing information about the available roles, members of the wastewater team will be joining the event to talk more about their roles and share their experiences of working at United Utilities.

    Chris Borradaile, Director of Wastewater Services at United Utilities said: “The roles we are recruiting for will give people the opportunity to make a positive impact in the communities they work in. They will have the opportunity to build a career for life and benefit from comprehensive training and the opportunity for career development.

    “We’re building new teams across the region. While, it isn’t necessary to have experience in water or wastewater, it is important to be customer focused and keen to be hands on.”

    United Utilities, the only North West FTSE 100 company, is one of the largest employers in the region with 7,000 staff.
