    Entergy Arkansas teams up with local groups to help with summer utility costs

    LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — To fight back against the ever-rising temperatures, Entergy Arkansas is assisting customers with saving money and managing utility bills.

    Energy Arkansas is planning to offer savings offerings and programs to better manage their bills and utilities during these hot times.

    There will be an in-person event on July 18 hosted by Entergy Arkansas in partnership with The Watershed, a local community advocate organization.

    From 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Entergy Arkansas workers will be at Spring Boulevard in Little Rock to answer customers’ questions that the about their accounts, as well as other services.

    There will also be programs that customers can learn about that will teach them energy efficient solutions to save money, while also staying comfortable.

    Customers eligible for financial assistance will also be connected to financial programs like the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Entergy’s The Power to Care Program.

    There will also be free box fans and energy efficiency kits for giveaway, but there are limited qualities.

    Participants of the event will also get to learn about other services and programs offered by Entergy Arkansas.

    There is also the chance for qualifying customers to apply for the Kids to College matching savings account program.

    The Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) will be available to assist eligible customers with LIHEAP assistance.

    There will be a Arcs and Sparks presentation to walk customers through electric safety principles.

    The Center for Arkansas Legal Services will provide free legal guidance on a variety of topics.

    The recent record-setting temperatures have led to record-electricity usage among customers.

    Those not able to attend the Watershed event can explore Entergy Arkansas’ Bill Toolkit to learn more about how to manage and take advantage of their electric bills.
