Lamb Weston Stock Jumps as Frozen Potato Firm Lifts Full-Year Outlook
FROM 1 hr 48 min ago
Lamb Weston Holdings’ cost-savings program is going better than expected, even though the company is experiencing what its chief executive calls “unexpected inflationary pressure.”
Lamb Weston (LW) stock is surging nearly 10% Tuesday after the frozen potato products supplier’s fiscal first-quarter results topped analysts’ estimates and the company lifted its full-year projections.
The Eagle, Idaho-based firm reported adjusted earnings of $0.75 per share on net sales that increased 1% year-over-year to $1.67 billion. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had expected $0.58 per share and $1.65 billion, respectively.
“We continue to experience unexpected inflationary pressure across key input costs and freight expense. Our teams are addressing cost inflation by working with suppliers and hedging where possible,” CEO Mike Smith said. “Furthermore, we have benefited from capacity optimization initiatives started over a year ago in North America, which have led to an approximate 10 percentage point increase in utilization. These efforts will enable us to overdeliver forecasted savings from our cost-savings program.”

As a result, Lamb Weston raised its fiscal 2027 guidance for net sales, adjusted EPS, and adjusted EBITDA. The new forecasts all were above Visible Alpha consensus.
With today’s move, Lamb Weston shares are up 17% since the start of the year.

Elon Musk Is a Trillionaire Again Thanks to Recent Tesla, SpaceX Rally
FROM 2 hr 38 min ago
Elon Musk is the lone member of the trillionaires club once again.
Musk’s net worth rose above $1 trillion yesterday thanks to gains from Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX (SPCX). Tesla shares added 2% yesterday after third-quarter deliveries topped estimates Friday, while SpaceX shares jumped 8% in the wake of bullish comments from analysts.
Musk briefly gained the title of world’s first trillionaire following SpaceX’s massive initial public offering over the summer, but the stock later pulled back. Musk’s stakes in Tesla and SpaceX make up much of his net worth.
Recently, Musk looks to have made up with President Trump after their highly public break last year. Musk attended an AI-focused event at the White House with other tech executives last week, and has backed Trump’s idea to start referring to AI as “SI,” or “super intelligence.” Musk has even floated the idea of changing the name of SpaceXAI, the maker of the Grok chatbot, to SpaceXSI.

Shares of Tesla were up less than 1% in recent trading, while SpaceX shares rose 2%. Tesla shares are still down about 15% for the year, while SpaceX’s rally has lifted the stock nearly 30% above its IPO price of $135.

Here’s How Much Traders See PepsiCo Stock Moving After Earnings
FROM 2 hr 38 min ago
PepsiCo is set to report earnings Thursday morning, with traders expecting a move that could take the stock to a six-year low.
Based on current options pricing, PepsiCo (PEP) shares are seen swinging up to 3.5% in either direction by the end of the week. A move of that size from Monday’s close could see shares sink as low as $121, their lowest level since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic rocked markets. The high end of that range would take the stock to $130, recovering some of its losses.
PepsiCo shares are down about 13% since the start of the year, and have lost one-quarter of their value from their February highs amid worries about signs of pressure in its North American sales. Concerns about a pullback by inflation-weary consumers, as well as shifting tastes have weighed on sentiment.

UBS analysts recently said that at the stock’s current valuation, lackluster sales in North America are “more than priced in.” They kept a “buy” rating for the stock, but trimmed their price target to $145 from $159.

Constellation Energy Stock Jumps on 20-Year Power Deal With Google
FROM 4 hr 48 min ago
Constellation Energy has inked a long-term power deal with Google. Investors are cheering the news.
Shares of Constellation Energy (CEG) are surging 6.5% before the bell Tuesday after the Baltimore-based nuclear energy firm and Google announced a 20-year power purchase agreement “to bring 890 megawatts (MW) of new, reliable nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability.”
PJM Interconnection is the largest power grid operator in the U.S., coordinating electricity movement in all or parts of 13 states and the District of Columbia.
As part of the agreement, Constellation Energy will deploy Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise to build the “AI for Energy” blueprint for next-generation grid operations. “The aim is to use AI to reduce the costs of new infrastructure, improve performance, ensure enough power is generated to meet rising demand, and safeguard the energy grid they rely on,” according to the companies’ press release.
Entering Tuesday, shares of Constellation Energy were down 24% in 2026. Those of Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL), which began the day up about 11% for the year, pointed up less than 1% before the bell.
