Similar to Joe Biden, the current presumptive Democratic candidate Kamala Harris lags behind Donald Trump both nationally and in key swing states, according to the limited polling available. In Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, Harris trails by a greater margin than Biden. So great has Trump’s lead been in these states that – at this point – it’s fairly safe to assume no Democratic candidate could claim them.
What’s interesting is that Harris closes the gap slightly in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. These are states with strong Democratic voting records and from an electoral point of view, enough to just hand Harris the presidency with the slimmest of margins. Fail to win all three of these, and Trump will almost certainly return to the White House.
