Teesside property agency scoops national accolade

    October 29, 20263 Mins Read

A Teesside property agency has celebrated success at a national industry awards ceremony.

Billingham-based Orange Sales and Lettings was named Residential Agency of the Year at the National Property Awards in Birmingham, having been selected from a shortlist of 15 finalists.

The firm, which is run by landlords for landlords, was shortlisted among 15 finalists before being selected as the winner by a panel of 12 industry professionals.

Its success follows a period of expansion, with Orange recently opening new premises on Belasis Avenue in Billingham and an office in Sunderland.

David Lamb, owner of Orange Sales and Lettings, said: “This is great recognition for the whole team at Orange Sales and Lettings, and I am immensely proud of the efforts they put in for our landlord clients and our tenants day in, day out.

“The panel looked at our growth, our customer reviews and the new building we have recently opened on Belasis Avenue in Billingham – and that all played a part in us winning the award.

“We’ve recently opened an office in Sunderland too and that is supporting us with our growth across the North East.”

The latest success follows Orange being named UK Property Manager of the Year at last year’s Blue Bricks Awards in Liverpool.

The agency has also continued to expand through acquisitions, recently purchasing two businesses in Hartlepool and Sunderland and taking on four additional employees, bringing its team of agents to 12.

David, who founded Orange after developing an interest in property through his earlier career in the steel and offshore industries, is aiming to establish the business as a leading property management company across the North East.

He also hosts the Back to Brick property podcast and regularly speaks at industry events.

David added: “I have a great team behind me at Orange and the awards are for them really – they are fantastic.

“They are the ones who are in the office every day and they have built the reputation that we have got.

“I started the business, and I lead the business, but ultimately, they are the ones that our customers are raving about.”
