The largest unclaimed property auction ever held by the Pennsylvania Treasury will run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 with roughly 5,700 items hitting the auction block.

The largest auction of unclaimed property ever held by the Pennsylvania Treasury kicks off this Wednesday, with roughly 5,700 items hitting the auction block online, write Heather Grubola and Nydia Han for 6abc.

The auction will last through Friday. Items being offered include everything from coins to collectibles and jewelry.

“One of my favorite items is like a 14-carat gold pendant that says ‘Chief’ and it has round cut, brilliant diamonds,” said Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity. “If she happens to be listening, it would be a great gift for Taylor Swift to give to Travis Kelce.”

Bidding is available online through the auctioneer on the Pook and Pook website.

Most of the items come from abandoned safe deposit boxes. The Treasury spends a minimum of three years looking for the owners. If no owner is found, the Treasury holds auctions two times a year to make room in its vault.

“One out of 10 Pennsylvanians has unclaimed property, and the average claim is about $1,600,” said Garrity.

If you want to check whether you have any unclaimed property, you can go to the Treasury’s website and enter your name into the search bar.
