Investing.com — Shares in jumped as much as 21.9% to 1,185.50 pence on Tuesday, their highest level since Dec. 9, 2025, after the British IT services provider said it now expects full-year results “comfortably ahead” of market expectations, citing strong demand for Workday consulting and rising contract backlogs.
The Belfast-based company, listed on the London Stock Exchange, said trading in the year to date had extended momentum from the year ended March 31, when it posted double-digit revenue growth, strong sales and record backlog levels.
The company said its guidance range is based on compiled sell-side analyst estimates for the year ending March 31, 2027. The current range is revenue of £498 million to £514 million and adjusted profit before tax within a range whose consensus figures stand at £509.3 million and £77.1 million, respectively.
Kainos said its Digital Services division continued to grow “very strongly”, supported by several significant new contract wins and further deals awarded since the start of the current financial year. Its Workday Services and Workday Products divisions also recorded double-digit revenue increases over the same period a year earlier.
“We remain confident in our outlook for the financial year and beyond. This confidence is underpinned by a robust pipeline and a significant multi-year contracted backlog,” the company said in a statement.
It added that while the macroeconomic environment “remains volatile”, it believes it is well positioned to deliver on its strategy in markets driven by long-term structural demand.
