Will Bitcoin Price Hit $100K If Trump Ends The Iran War?

    September 3, 20264 Mins Read

Bitcoin is trading right below an important technical ceiling near $78,000, and according to experts, what happens next hinges on a level rather than a headline, though right now the two are colliding.

Clear the EMA ribbon sitting at $78,000 and an analyst says the $100,000 comes into play. Slip to a weekly close below $70,000 instead, and Bitcoin risks retesting its recent lows.

    Headline That Could Move Both

That technical setup is unfolding against a wild macro backdrop. According to a Wall Street Journal report cited by The Hormuz Report, President Trump is privately weighing whether to formally declare the Iran war over, and reportedly favors the idea, even as Iranian strikes continue landing on American assets across the region.

In a single night, seven US bases across five countries, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain and the UAE, were hit, and Washington has yet to respond. One US official told the Journal the administration is now more focused on stabilizing markets than on retaliating militarily, with oil prices surging and interceptor stockpiles reportedly running “close to zero.”

The analyst called the possibility a potential turning point for the entire market. If the war talk turns real, he argued, the dominoes fall fast. Oil drops, risk appetite returns, the Fed gets breathing room to cut rates, and Bitcoin along with broader risk assets could go, in his words, parabolic.

    Oil Tells Its Own Story

The oil market is already pricing in some of that uncertainty. Brent crude slipped to $95.20 a barrel, while US WTI crude eased to $90.77, both benchmarks cooling slightly after a session that swung as wildly as $2 higher and $1 lower, the widest range since late July.

Brent remains up roughly 7% for the week and 57% for the year, a climb that’s already spilling into diesel prices near four-year highs and contributing to pressure across global bond markets.

A War Trump Says Won’t Drag On

Asked Wednesday how long the bombing campaign might continue, Trump told reporters, “I don’t think too long.” That comment came just after the US carried out its second strike in three days, hitting radar systems and mine-laying equipment along Iran’s southern coast, a strike Trump described as targeting “all of the new equipment that they tried to build along the Strait of Hormuz.”

Iran responded with its now-familiar pattern of drone and missile attacks on US bases. The US did not strike back Wednesday night, but Trump made clear the option remains on the table. “We’re prepared to do another one any time we want,” he said.

    What Traders Are Watching Now

For Bitcoin, the setup is unusually binary. A resolution to the conflict could be the catalyst that finally pushes BTC through resistance and reopens the path toward six figures. A continuation of the standoff, paired with oil staying elevated and bond markets under pressure, could just as easily drag Bitcoin back toward its recent floor.

With Trump reportedly leaning toward ending the war but Iran still actively striking, the next 24 to 48 hours may do more to decide Bitcoin’s direction than any indicator on the chart.
