CryptoQuant Head of Research Julio Moreno said Bitcoin has shifted into a bullish market regime after a 24% rally since August 17, with most of the firm’s indicators now pointing to the early stage of a new bull market.
Market regime has switched to Bull for Bitcoin.
Basically all metrics are pointing to the initial phase of a new bull market.

Bitcoin reached $80,000, its highest level since May 15, following a rally that Moreno linked to improving macro conditions. CryptoQuant’s Bull Score jumped from 30 to 80 in one week, with eight of its 10 underlying metrics now flashing bullish.
Demand has also strengthened. According to Moreno, apparent spot demand is growing at its fastest monthly pace since late December, while spot and futures demand are expanding together for the first time since October 2025.
The shift is not yet fully confirmed. Moreno said Bitcoin still needs to move above its 365 day moving average, currently around $83,000, before CryptoQuant considers the new bull market officially confirmed. The level has also emerged as a key resistance point for the current rally.
CryptoQuant also warned that the market could face a correction after the rapid advance. Trader unrealized profit margins have climbed to 20.5%, their highest since June 2025, while whales realized a record $614 million in profits on August 20.
Exchange inflows across Bitcoin, Ether, and XRP have also increased, potentially adding near term selling pressure. Despite those risks, Moreno said valuation, demand, and liquidity indicators are now broadly pointing toward a bullish regime.
