Bitcoin price climbed above $81,000 on Tuesday, reaching its highest level in almost 15 weeks as momentum strengthened.
The rally was preceded by the escalation of institutional demand, enhanced cryptocurrency sentiment, and positive macroeconomic conditions.
Bitcoin price later retreated below $80,000 as traders locked in profits following its rapid advance from last week’s lows.
Despite the pullback, the cryptocurrency erased three months of losses and remained higher during August.
Bitcoin Price Hits 15-Week High After Gaining 28% in Eight Days
Bitcoin price surged to highs of $81,265 in the course of the Tuesday session, its highest price since May 2026, when volatility escalated.
The asset then dropped to $78,254, with a daily loss of 0.92% of asset as profit-taking in the short-term disrupted the bull run.
Nonetheless, Bitcoin climbed approximately 28% after two rounds of recovery from the $62,000 area, over the last 8 days. Nevertheless, Bitcoin rebounded to around $62,000 in two instances and still managed to climb by approximately 28% over the last 8 days.

That’s the increase that took almost $350 billion from Bitcoin’s market cap and brought trust back in the digital asset space.
Bitcoin’s weekly gain was the second largest of the past five years, demonstrating the strength of the demand lately.
Bitcoin price has also been climbing above the previous range of consolidation between $77,000 and $78,000, forming a better short-term price structure.
Ethereum held steady around $2,500, while XRP recovered from around $0.99 as the market as a whole rallied.
Spot Bitcoin ETF Inflows Support the Rally
On August 24, United States spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted net inflows of 338 million.
BlackRock IBIT contributed the greatest amount of Bitcoin funds in the session, with a contribution of $209 million.
Spot Ether ETFs were also given 116 million and ETHA given by BlackRock took up 90.92 million of that.

BlackRock was at the head of both lists when institutional investors grew more exposed after Bitcoin had recovered and the market outlook improved.
Increasing demand in spot markets, derivatives, and ETFs contributed to Bitcoin nearing $80,000 with a notable increase in leverage.
The improvement was boosted by increased activity and greater profitability of the holders, but the overall macroeconomic inflows were comparatively small.
This implies that the rally is still tactical and investors are reacting to momentum and short-term market trends.
BTC Price Prediction: Will Bitcoin Hit $85k Next
The current resistance in the Bitcoin price is at the immediate level of about $80,000 after it was rejected in the above $81,000.
An established recovery of over 80,000 may help another step forward to $82,000 before attempting to break the great $85,000 mark.
Nonetheless, further rejection can lead to further correction to the level of $75,000 that is the key near-term support level.

A resounding decline below $75,000 might reveal $72,000 and undermine the bullish formation that happened in the recent upswing.
The relative strength index of Bitcoin was 78.71 in the last day, indicating that it was overbought following the drastic rise in eight days.
The reading creates the prospects of consolidation as traders re-evaluate positions and awaiting a firmer confirmation.
In the meantime, the bullish MACD remains in favor of the upward trend and suggests that the positive momentum is still active.
Maintaining a position over $75,000 would save the recovery perspective of the future Bitcoin outlook, and a new wave of ETF demand would help another breakout.
The case of $85,000 can be fortified by a long-term trend of $81,265 but the volatility can still be high.
