Utilities Up as Treasury Yields Retreat — Utilities Roundup

    October 29, 20262 Mins Read

Shares of power producers rallied as traders rotated back into the sector due to a down-tick in Treasury yields.

Yields on the policy-sensitive two-year note have retreated significantly since the Federal Reserve held rates steady and Chairman Kevin Warsh gave a relatively dovish take on developments in the U.S. economy.

For much of 2026, fixed-income investors have sold out of the dividend-oriented utilities sector, chasing rising yields in the safer Treasury market.
