Bitcoin ETF Inflows Hit $3.8B in Strongest 2026 Streak

    September 5, 20262 Mins Read

US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have recorded their strongest three-week inflow period of 2026, attracting nearly $1 billion in the latest week as Bitcoin traded around the $80,000 level.

According to SoSoValue data, US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $986.9 million in net inflows during the week ending Friday, taking combined inflows over the past three weeks to approximately $3.8 billion.

Total net assets across the funds stood at $101.3 billion on Friday, down from $103.3 billion a day earlier. Cumulative net inflows reached $55.6 billion, although year-to-date net flows remain approximately $1 billion negative.

Daily inflows remained positive on Friday but declined significantly from the previous session. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $174.6 million in net inflows, compared with nearly $731 million on Thursday.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest spot Bitcoin ETF by assets, accounted for most of Friday’s inflows. The fund attracted $117.4 million, representing approximately 67% of the total.

Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) was the only other fund to register inflows, attracting $57.2 million. The remaining US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded no net flows on Friday.

The slowdown coincided with Bitcoin’s decline from around $81,200 to briefly below $79,000. At the time of publication, Bitcoin was trading around $79,716 and remained approximately 2.6% higher over the previous seven days.

Bitcoin ETF demand has strengthened while flows into other major crypto ETFs have weakened.

Compared with the previous week, Bitcoin ETF inflows increased by approximately 7%. In contrast, US spot Ether ETF inflows dropped around 74%, while XRP ETF inflows fell approximately 83%.

Ether ETFs attracted $218.4 million, down from $824.4 million in the previous week. XRP ETFs recorded $19 million in inflows, compared with $110.5 million previously.

Despite the slowdown, both Ether and XRP ETFs remain positive on a year-to-date basis. US spot Ether ETFs have recorded approximately $863 million in net inflows this year, while XRP ETFs have attracted around $515 million.

The strong three-week Bitcoin ETF inflow streak indicates renewed institutional demand for Bitcoin, even as short-term price volatility and broader market uncertainty continue to influence investor flows.
