    Stock Market Today Highlights: Sensex up 380 points, Nifty above 23,100 at close

    Stock Market Today Highlights: At close, Nifty was above 23,100 while Sensex up by 380 points. In terms of sectors, all other sectoral indices ended in the green. Only media, private bank, and were in red.

    On Nifty, the key gainers were JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, Coal India, Tata Steel, and Infosys. While on the losing end were Hindalco Industries, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life, Shriram Finance, ONGC.

    At open, market bounced back on Friday with Nifty reclaiming 23300 mark, and Sensex shoots up 970 points. Market responded to the falling crude oil prices on hopes of de-escalation in the Middle East.

    Nifty PSU Bank index showed a positive response at open as it rose over 3 per cent with the support of State Bank of India and Canara Bank stocks.

    Indian rupee ended at fresh record low at 93.70 per dollar on Friday versus Wednesday’s close of 92.63.
