Arrests made during drug raid at Oxfordshire property

    September 27, 20252 Mins Read

Officers raided a place in St Mary’s, Wantage on Friday, September 26 and seized “a number of items”.

A man and a woman were both arrested as part of the investigation and have been bailed pending further investigation.

It follows a recent Wantage community survey.

“One message came through loud and clear: drug dealing is a major concern, ranking as the second highest priority for residents in our area,” a police spokesman said.

“We are fully committed to stamping out the supply of drugs in our community. Drug dealing devastates lives, fuels crime, and tears at the fabric of our towns.

“But we can’t do it alone. We rely on the community to tell us what they see and hear. Without your information, we cannot secure the warrants needed to take action. Every report helps us build a safer Wantage and Grove.

“To those involved in drug supply in Wantage: we will identify you. We will gather the intelligence, secure the warrants, and force entry into your property—at any hour, without warning.

“If you are dealing drugs in our town, be prepared for a visit when you least expect it.”

Officers in Wantage said they have been working closely with those based in Abingdon, Henley, Thame and Didcot.
