    Meghna Group to sell Ramadan commodities in Dhaka

    Rice, sugar, milk powder, water, pulse, tea, salt and soybean oil will be sold through trucks

    The Meghna Group of Industries has announced an initiative to sell essential commodities at fair prices across various locations in Dhaka during Ramadan.

    “We have launched this truck sale to help consumers purchase commodities at affordable prices during Ramadan,” said Taslim Shahriar, senior assistant general manager at Meghna Group of Industries, a commodity importer and processor, in an interview with The Daily Star.

    As part of the initiative, the conglomerate will deploy its own vehicles at key locations, including Motijheel, Gulistan, Karwan Bazar, Farmgate, Azimpur, Agargaon, Baridhara, Gabtali, Mohakhali, Khilgaon, the National Press Club, Mirpur-1, Mirpur-10, Mohammadpur, and several other areas.

    Eight Fresh-branded products—rice, sugar, milk powder, water, pulse, tea, salt and soybean oil—will be sold at subsidised rates under the initiative.
