    Utilities Up Ahead of Consumer Inflation Report — Utilities Roundup

    Shares of power producers rallied ahead of a key consumer inflation report, as traders piled into the defensive sector.

    The SPDR Select Sector Utilities exchange-traded fund, which tracks the utilities industry group of the S&P 500, rose 1.7%, and is now up by 11% for the year to date, one of the leading sectors on the broad market.

    Tesla’s “megablock” storage could be a game-changer in powering homes, analysts said.
