    Shares of power producers fell as traders hedged their bets on the outlook for interest rates.

    Treasury yields had their biggest annual drop since 2020 due to Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts. That gave the utility sector a lift, but fears that the Fed may not continue cutting rates have weighed on the sector recently.
