United Utilities is investigating widespread water pressure and supply issues affecting homes across parts of Bamber Bridge and Walton-le-Dale.

Local residents across Bamber Bridge and Walton-le-Dale have reported water supply issues and pressure problems in their homes on the morning of Saturday January 10.

United Utilities are aware of the issues and are working as quickly as they can to fix the problem.

A spokesperson from United Utilities said: “We’re investigating a problem in your area, which may mean no water or low pressure.

“We’re really sorry for any disruption this may be causing, and we hope to have your taps flowing again soon.”

Parts of Brindle Road and the junction of Collins Road are closed due to high water levels and flooding. One resident said the water was pouring out the drains on Kingsway and no water supply at all on Withy Trees Avenue.

As the investigation continues, further reports have emerged from residents living on Grove Street and Collins Road, suggesting the issue may be affecting a broader area than first thought.

Some households have reported little or no water from taps, while others say pressure has dropped significantly.

Customers experiencing problems are being encouraged to report them directly to United Utilities to help engineers build a clearer picture of the scale of the issue.
