    Stock Market Live Updates: Sensex Flat, Nifty Below 26,000; Realty Shares Rise, IT Drags

    Stock Market Live Updates, Share Market News Today: Equity benchmark indices — the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty — opened flat on Tuesday amid an absence of strong market triggers. At 11 AM, the BSE Sensex index was at 84,779, down 121 points or 0.14 per cent. The Nifty50, on the other hand, was at 25,936.7, down 22.8 points or 0.1 per cent.

    Among the top laggards on the Sensex were Power Grid, Infosys, M&M, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, HUL, Tata Motors PV, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, ITC, Sun Pharma, and NTPC, declining up to 0.9%.

    In contrast, BEL, Tata Steel, SBI, Axis Bank, Eternal, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, and Reliance Industries were the leading gainers.

    In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index slipped 0.07%, while the Nifty SmallCap index edged down 0.03%.

    Sectorally, the Nifty IT and FMCG indices were the top losers, falling 0.4% each, followed by a 0.16% decline in the Nifty Auto index. On the upside, the Nifty Realty index climbed 1%, and the Nifty Metal index rose 0.57%.
