Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Markets ended marginally higher on Wednesday after a volatile session, with gains in financials and select heavyweight stocks helping benchmarks stay in the green. The Sensex rose 14 points to close at 74,360, while the Nifty gained 11 points to settle at 23,417.

ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Titan and ITC were among the biggest contributors to the Nifty’s gains. Market breadth remained positive, with the NSE advance-decline ratio at 3:2, aided by strength in broader markets.
Among individual stocks, Titan gained over 3% after outlining plans to double its jewellery revenue by FY30, while PhysicsWallah jumped more than 15% after partnering with regulated NBFCs for student financing. JBM Auto rose nearly 3%, and power equipment stocks advanced on positive brokerage commentary, with Hitachi Energy gaining over 4%.
On the sectoral front, downstream oil companies gained as Brent crude slipped below $96 per barrel, while metal stocks underperformed, dragging the Nifty Metal index lower as Nalco fell more than 5%.
