Held on the third Monday in February, Washingtons Birthday or Presidents Day celebrates our first President, plus Abraham Lincoln, other presidents, or all of them, depending on what state you’re in.

The federal holiday is still Washington’s Birthday. By the early 2000s, almost half of the states in the U.S. had changed the holiday’s name to Presidents Day on their calendars in honor of Washington and Lincoln or all U.S. presidents.
