The Dow futures are up 250 points, whereas the S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures are up 20 points and 90 points respectively in trading on Sunday evening local time. Both S&P 500 and the Nasdaq ended at record high levels on Friday, with the Dow Jones still 1,250 points away from that landmark. The 30-stock index gained over 400 points on Friday. Hopes of trade negotiations fructifying, a subdued inflation print, hopes of more rate cuts from the US Federal Reserve and cooling tensions in the Middle East are contributing to the upmove. This will be a truncated week for the US markets as they will remain shut on Friday on account of Independence Day. Asian markets have opened higher, Gold rates have extended losses, while oil prices remain stable at lower levels.
