A new performance index has ranked some of the UK’s best-known property auction houses, comparing operators on success rates, buyer fees and their suitability for different types of property investors.
The UK Auction House Performance Index, produced by property investment research platform UncommonDeal, assesses 12 auction houses to highlight differences in performance and the costs facing buyers.
The research moves beyond headline auction market volumes to compare individual operators, including factors that could influence where investors choose to buy property at auction.
The index examines auction success rates alongside buyer fees and the types of investment opportunities available through different auction houses, providing a comparative picture of the market.
The findings reveal significant differences between operators, with the highest-ranked auction houses outperforming rivals across several of the measures assessed.

Methodology:
