    Top UK property firm takes over leading Scottish company

    Graham + Sibbald, described as “one of the UK’s fastest growing and most respected firms of chartered surveyors and property consultants”, has continued its expansion plans with the acquisition of JMP Construction and Property Consultants and its sister company SID Asset Management.

    The acquisition follows the purchase of Aitchison Raffety in September 2025.

    Signalling a major vote of confidence in Graham + Sibbald’s ambitious growth plans, the acquisition was financed as part of the funding deal with global investment manager Foresight Group which was agreed in 2025.

    JMP is, a “forward thinking-chartered surveyors practice specialising in stock condition surveys, quantity surveying, energy performance certificates and drone surveys”.

    JMP will complement Graham + Sibbald’s already strong Technical Services team which is made up of 50 building surveyors, architects and project managers.

    Calum Campbell, managing partner at Graham + Sibbald, said: “Adding JMP’s offering to our suite of services across the UK further strengthens what we already have and allows us to diversify into a new areas under our Technical Services department.

    “JMP have worked hard to develop and roll out their specialist system which is another asset to add to our offering.

    “We look forward to welcoming the staff at JMP to Graham + Sibbald.”

    Graeme Reid, managing director at JMP, said: “We are delighted to be joining Graham + Sibbald and look forward to working alongside Calum, Andy and the rest of their colleagues to combine our respective skills and expertise to enhance and extend our offering throughout the UK. All of the team at JMP and SID are excited for what the future holds.”

    Andy Thomson, head of Glasgow building surveying, said: “We are thrilled to be acquiring JMP, their specialist platform and stellar reputation in the stock condition survey sector will complement our Technical Services team.     Since its foundation in Dundee in 1959, Graham + Sibbald has grown across Scotland and into key cities in England.
