A group of Scottish property professionals has formed to put the nation back on the map for investors by returning to Le Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier – better known as MIPIM.

The four-day annual property trade show is held in March at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, with delegations from UK property developers, consultants and local authorities descending on the French Riviera to drum up inward funding.

Scottish representation has been lacking for several years now, so earlier this year a taskforce of businesses and stakeholders was established to ensure it has a presence in 2026.

Founding partners – including MLA, PMP, Saffery, Civic, Robertson Group, Brodies, oobe, Drum and Place North – formed a working group to drive a coordinated delegation of public and private organisations to the conference, which attracts more than 20,000 delegates from 90 countries.

The team will host a breakfast briefing in Brodies’ Edinburgh office on 3 December to unveil plans for Scotland’s presence at MIPIM, including the unveiling of new partners, a campaign strategy and a keynote address by Jonathan Guthrie, director for strategic partnerships at Robertson Group and chair of Scottish Property Federation.

“MIPIM is a unique platform that connects Scotland with global investors and decision-makers,” said Gurthrie. “By showcasing our strengths and ambitions on this international stage, we will attract the capital, partnerships and occupiers needed to drive sustainable growth.

“Working and standing together, we can create and unlock new opportunities for our businesses and communities.”

Following an inaugural event, which featured speakers including Glasgow City Council leader Susan Aitken, the Scotland at MIPIM campaign has welcomed new companies and founding sponsors, like Collective Architecture.

Scotland at MIPIM has also confirmed that it will now have a base at the official MIPIM conference, within the UK Hub, giving partners and delegates a focal point to meet and discuss the investment opportunities.
