Bournecoast Property Agents celebrates 65 years of business

    September 12, 20252 Mins Read

Bournecoast Property Agents, based in Southbourne, was established in 1960 by Major W. G. Webb.

Since its inception, the family-run business has been managing, selling and letting both residential and self-catering properties across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.

The company, which was built on a wealth of knowledge in the buy-to-let market, had its legacy carried forward by former Managing Director Keith Simmons MBE, Major Webb’s son-in-law, alongside his children, Des Simmons, Veronica Strongman and Anita Molavi, who now serve as directors and run the company together.

To mark this milestone, the company has expanded its property management services by launching a sister company, Holiday Seekers.

It has also partnered with Bournemouth-based Not Just Travel to solidify its position in the property and tourism sectors.

The firm, consisting of a team specialising in lettings, customer service, management, marketing, accounts and administration, provides an end-to-end service, acting as the ‘eyes and ears’ for property owners.

Managing director, Des Simmons, said: “We continue to set the benchmark in property services, combining decades of industry knowledge with a forward-thinking approach to meet the evolving needs of residential tenants, holidaymakers and property investors alike.”

In addition to celebrating its 65th anniversary, the company is also celebrating two award nominations.

Des Simmons has been nominated for the Industry Leader Award at the DMB Tourism Awards 2025, while Bournecoast itself is nominated for the People’s Choice Award 2025.

The company’s dedication has not gone unnoticed by its clients.

Long-standing client, Dominic Hirsch, said: “We have worked with Bournecoast for the past 14 years to market and manage holiday lets in our family’s holiday home.

“Although we have used other agencies in the UK and overseas, none come close to Bournecoast’s levels of responsiveness, commitment and overall professionalism.

“All the staff are super friendly and we would highly recommend the company both to property owners and guests.”

Another client, Paul Donnelly, added: “I have no hesitation recommending the Bournecoast team.

“As a client I completely trust their knowledge and experience, which makes being a landlord so much less daunting.”
