    Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.44% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

    At the close in Lisbon, the added 0.44%.

    The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 2.03% or 0.29 points to trade at 14.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) added 1.69% or 0.32 points to end at 19.21 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) was up 1.14% or 0.04 points to 3.82 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 3.10% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.56 at the close. Semapa (ELI:) declined 0.93% or 0.14 points to end at 14.94 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.85% or 0.02 points to 2.33.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged.

    Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.56% or 1.25 to $79.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.68% or 1.30 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 5.90 to trade at $2,422.00 a troy ounce.

    EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 104.38.
