Perplexity Finance now gets live earnings features for Indian markets: Check how to access it – Technology News

    August 18, 20253 Mins Read

After opening up its financial-centric AI tool to Indians, Perplexity Finance is now adding another feature to help traders in India. The update includes live earnings call schedules, real-time transcriptions, and in-depth analysis, wanting to provide Indian investors with easy access to critical financial data.

This update to Perplexity Finance comes as part of Perplexity’s greater push into the Indian market, following the recent launch of its dedicated Finance tab for the region.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas announced the enhancements, stating, “Perplexity’s Finance dashboard now supports live earnings calls transcriptions and features earnings calls schedules for Indian stocks. We hope to add a lot more value to Indian equity markets research in the coming days!”

Perplexity Finance offers more for free

The announcement highlighted a screenshot of Bharti Airtel’s Q1 FY26 earnings report as an example of the platform’s capabilities.

Perplexity Finance in India was already offering free access to premium financial information that is usually locked behind a paywall on other AI platforms. With the latest update, key features include real-time stock prices from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), synthesis of market news, bull and bear case analyses, explanations for notable price movements, historical data downloads, and financial statements with Excel model exports.

Live earnings support is currently available for select BSE and NSE equities, with plans to expand coverage soon.

“Much of the information you find in Perplexity Finance exists behind a paywall on other platforms. We make it available to all users for free,” said Jeff Grimes, Head of Live Events Product at Perplexity. Upcoming additions for Indian users include natural-language stock screening and price alerts.

Perplexity makes more sense for itself

With this expansion, Perplexity positions itself as a competitive player in the AI-driven financial space, particularly in India’s rapidly growing stock market, where retail participation has skyrocketed in recent years. The platform also covers cryptocurrency data, thereby broadening its appeal to diverse investors.

Based on an exchange of thoughts on X earlier, it seems Aravind Srinivas might also join hands with Zerodha to enhance the value proposition of Perplexity Finance.

Perplexity’s Finance features are accessible via desktop, mobile web, and apps, with no subscription required. As the company continues to iterate, it aims to make advanced market research and sophisticated tools available to everyday investors.
