    Iowa Finance Authority Board awards millions of dollars to support affordable rental homes for Iowans

    DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors awarded a total of $10.6M in federal housing tax credits to support the construction and rehabilitation of a total of 404 affordable rental homes for Iowans, some of which are in the TV6 viewing area.

    The awards were made to 10 rental housing projects in Burlington, Charles City, Davenport, Des Moines, Jefferson, Knoxville, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa, and Spirit Lake, according to a media release from officials.

    In the TV6 viewing area those awarded funding include the following:

    • Timber Ridge Apartments in Davenport to receive $1,287,000
    • Annie Wittenmeyer Family Apartments in Davenport to receive $1,00,000
    • The Apollo in Burlington to receive $1,163,052
    • Hershey Apartments at Mt. Pleasant in Mt. Pleasant to receive $605,000
