ISLAMABAD, Jul 7 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday chaired a meeting to review the domestic situation of essential commodities and food items.
Discussions focused on supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and measures to ensure the stable availability of essential food items in the market.
The deputy PM emphasized the need for a coordinated policy approach to ensure market stability.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of both consumers and producers through proactive planning, effective oversight, and inter-agency collaboration.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Commerce, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Commerce, and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments.
