Strive Stock Surges 100% in One Month Amid Aggressive Bitcoin Accumulation

    September 15, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Highlights

    • Strive acquired an additional 469 Bitcoin valued at $36.6 million, elevating its total reserves to 25,000 BTC
    • The acquisition was completely financed through SATA preferred stock sales, now exceeding $1 billion in notional value
    • The company ranks fifth among publicly traded corporations in Bitcoin holdings
    • Stock prices jumped more than 7% Monday, with shares more than doubling over the last 30 days
    • Chief Executive Matt Cole acknowledges reaching second place in corporate Bitcoin rankings by year-end is feasible but unlikely under current trajectory

Strive, operating as both a Bitcoin treasury corporation and asset management firm, expanded its digital asset portfolio by 469 Bitcoin during the previous week, deploying $36.6 million at an average acquisition cost slightly below $78,000 per token. This transaction elevates the firm’s aggregate Bitcoin position to precisely 25,000 BTC, representing approximately $1.95 billion in current market value.

Strive acquired an additional 469 $BTC for $36.6M at an average cost of $77,954 per bitcoin, bringing total holdings to ₿25,000.

100% of the capital raised came from SATA, which now has over $1B notional outstanding.

The company executed these purchases between the dates of September 8 through September 11, as disclosed in an official Form 8-K document submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Preferred Stock Sales Finance Complete Acquisition

Chief Executive Officer Matt Cole disclosed that the entire funding for this acquisition originated from SATA sales, representing the company’s perpetual preferred stock instrument. The SATA instrument has now surpassed the $1 billion threshold in outstanding notional value, with issued shares expanding by approximately 402,541 during this acquisition window to reach roughly 10.4 million total shares.

The firm also elevated its “amplification ratio” metric to 53.5%. This metric represents the proportion of outstanding notional preferred equity combined with debt relative to Bitcoin net asset value. Essentially, this means for each $100 worth of Bitcoin in Strive’s treasury, approximately $53.50 in combined preferred stock obligations and debt exists.

As recorded on September 11, the organization maintained $204.2 million in liquid cash and equivalent assets, alongside 505,000 shares of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock with an estimated value of approximately $49.8 million.

This recent acquisition represents a deceleration compared to the previous week’s activity, when Strive secured 1,375 Bitcoin for approximately $109 million.

Share Prices Ascend Alongside Bitcoin Accumulation

Strive’s Nasdaq-listed shares experienced a surge exceeding 7% during Monday’s trading session, climbing to approximately $29 and establishing a new year-to-date peak. Share values have increased by more than 100% throughout the past month.

This substantial rally propelled Strive’s market capitalization above that of Metaplanet, a Japanese Bitcoin treasury entity maintaining larger Bitcoin reserves. Strive’s valuation reached approximately $2.5 billion on Monday, surpassing Metaplanet’s $1.9 billion market cap.

The share price advancement also carried Strive’s stock beyond the $27 strike price associated with warrants set to expire in mid-October. Should warrant holders choose to exercise these instruments, the company stands to receive over $700 million in additional capital.

Strive currently occupies the fifth position globally among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders, trailing Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA.

Achieving second place before year-end would require surpassing Twenty One, which presently maintains 43,514 BTC in its treasury. With approximately 15 weeks remaining in 2026, Strive would need to acquire roughly 1,234 Bitcoin weekly to eliminate this difference.

Strategy, maintaining the largest corporate Bitcoin position, kept its reserves stable at 845,050 BTC for a consecutive second week. The organization allocated $139.3 million toward repurchasing its STRC preferred shares utilizing its US dollar cash reserves.

Bitcoin was exchanging hands near the $78,000 level following Friday’s turbulent trading session, which saw prices briefly approach $80,000 before retreating to the $77,000 range.
