Bitcoin has fallen below the $100,000 threshold for the first time since May 8, 2025, according to data from Binance. This sudden drop has sent shockwaves through the crypto market, leaving investors on edge.

At 5:21 PM (UTC+3), Bitcoin was down 3.5%, trading at $99,975. Just four minutes later, at 5:25 PM, the decline accelerated, with the price dropping to $99,582, marking a 3.8% decrease.

    What’s Behind the Drop?

Bitcoin, the decentralized cryptocurrency powered by blockchain technology, remains a highly volatile asset. Created in 2008 by the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto (or team), Bitcoin has seen massive highs and sharp corrections. With most Bitcoins already mined, its scarcity adds another layer of complexity.

Analysts suggest factors like geopolitical tensions, stricter regulations, or profit-taking after a long rally could be driving the decline. Others believe this is just a temporary pullback before another surge.

One thing is certain: Cameroonian traders, increasingly active in the crypto space, are watching closely. Are you buying the dip or waiting for a rebound?
