    August 24, 20263 Mins Read

Bitcoin treasury company Strive has purchased an additional 1100 BTC worth $81.5 million, continuing its BTC accumulation strategy while Strategy (MSTR) shifted to raising cash reserves. As a result, ASST stock jumped almost 4% on Monday, while SATA preferred shares trading above par value.

Strive purchased 1,110 Bitcoin at an average price of $73,409 per BTC between August 17-21, according to an official announcement on August 24. The total buy was worth around $81.50 billion.

The corporate Bitcoin treasury purchased these BTC using proceeds from SATA and ASST shares sold at-the-market (ATM) offerings. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $171.9 million.

With the latest purchase, Strive has increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 21,356 BTC worth $1.69 billion. The company last acquired 79 BTC for $5 million.

Chairman and CEO Matt Cole also took to X to reach out to its shareholders and the broader crypto community about the massive Bitcoin purchase. Last week, he said “Bitcoin is historically cheap in this price range, and we feel constructive about taking on risk to buy more BTC here.”

Strive has steadily grown its holdings through a mix of capital raises and market purchases, positioning itself among the larger publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders.

    ASST Stock Surges

Strive (ASST) stock saw strong upside momentum, rising more than 5% in premarket trading hours on Monday. The stock closed Friday at $18.22, up 12.96% amid massive trading volume.

Strive Board Director Pierre Rochard purchased 15,900 ASST Class A common shares last week. The Strive board member predicted stronger Bitcoin fundamentals as SATA perpetual preferred stock approaches par value.

Meanwhile, SATA preferred stock has remained stable near its $100 par value, last closing around $100.01 on Friday. This indicates more big purchases by the firm in the coming weeks.

Bitcoin price also climbed above $79K, with a 3% bounce in the past 24 hours. This comes as the US Treasury plans to use its General Account for bond buybacks.

The 24-hour low and high were $76,718 and $79,221, respectively. Moreover, trading volume has increased by 34% in the last 24 hours, indicating a rise in interest among traders.

Polymarket data shows prediction market participants expect Bitcoin price to reach $85,000 by December, with 73% Yes bets.
