Bitcoin Price Prediction: How the Fed Decision Could Move BTC

    July 21, 20262 Mins Read

How UK Investors Can Approach Bitcoin Around Fed Meetings

Bitcoin and other cryptoassets remain highly volatile around major macroeconomic events such as FOMC meetings. Some market participants monitor signals such as spot bitcoin ETF flows, alongside the scheduled economic data releases before a Fed meeting, as one input into how sentiment might be shifting, though none of these signals reliably predicts price direction (CoinDesk, 21 July 2026; StealthEX, 2026).

For UK residents researching how to gain exposure to bitcoin, options include direct cryptoasset trading and CFD trading, each with a different risk and structure. Cryptoassets are highly volatile and largely unregulated, with no consumer protection, and CFDs carry additional leverage risk. Losses can exceed your initial deposit when trading with leverage.

Given the scale of volatility bitcoin has shown around Fed events this year, some traders make use of risk management tools such as stop loss orders, though these do not eliminate risk and cannot guarantee a specific outcome.

Others take a long-term view on the asset, regarding short-term price movements as irrelevant to the longer-term investment case. However, this is only one way to view the alternative asset, and past performance is not an indicator of future results.
