    Utilities Flat Ahead of Winter Storm – Utilities Roundup

    Shares of power producers were more or less flat as traders eyed shifting geopolitical sands and an impending winter storm.

    Defensive sectors, including utilities, often draw more investors when economic and geopolitical risks are elevated.

    Winter Storm Fern could be the biggest test for the electric grid since Winter Storm Uri in 2021, which killed hundreds of Americans and knocked out power to millions.
