Alistair Strathern, a Labour MP, has become the new chair of Parliamentary special interest group the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sustainable Finance. Strathern previously worked as climate lead for insurance at the Bank of England. The Athena Foundation will provide the secretariat for the group.
Marianne Ullrich, head of ESG client solutions at Germany’s Deka Investment, has left her role. Ullrich, who joined Deka in 1999, is retiring but remains on the board of the Ingrid zu Solms Foundation.

David Cox has been promoted to head of Greenbank, the ethical, sustainable and impact investment wing of Rathbones Group. Cox joined the firm as head of investment in 2023 from Brunel, where he was deputy CIO. He replaces John David, who retires.

The role covers collecting ESG data and performance metrics to produce the firm’s sustainability reporting and disclosures including TCFD and PRI reporting, and managing Ares’ approach to third-party ESG ratings firms.
Filippo Sebastion has been promoted to sustainability regulation lead at S&P global. Sebastion, who spend two and a half years as an ESG methodology specialist at the firm previously, will the head the development and implementation of ESG data solutions “aligned with current and emerging ESG regulations”.

She began her career at MSCI where she spent 10 years before joining Sustainalytics, returning to Morningstar as a senior ESG analyst in 2018 and finally rejoining Sustainalytics in 2020.

André Höck has been promoted to head of sustainability and strategy at German ESG house EB – SIM. He has worked at the firm since 2018, joining as a portfolio manager from the Evangelical Bank, and was previously head of ESG integration.
