Utilities Down Amid Concerns About Long-Term Treasury Yields – Utilities Roundup

    September 5, 20252 Mins Read

Shares of power producers fell amid doubts about the outlook for long-term Treasury yields.

Yields on 30-year bonds fell on Friday, but the spread between long-term rates and the yield on the policy-sensitive two-year Treasury remained significantly wider than at the start of the year.

Orsted cut its full-year earnings guidance on Friday following lower-than-normal offshore wind speeds in July and August, a day after it filed a court challenge to a U.S. stop-work order on a major project off the east coast.

The Danish wind-power firm said a construction delay at the Greater Changhua 2b offshore wind farm in Taiwan will also hit earnings.
