    Stock Market Sectors: Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market rises

    NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed in the Tuesday’s session.

    Gillette India Ltd.(up 10.42%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(up 5.02%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 3.44%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(up 3.27%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 2.04%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(up 1.83%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.66%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 1.65%), LT Foods Ltd.(up 1.50%) and Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 1.40%) stood among the top gainers.

    Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 5.45%), Dabur India Ltd.(down 3.23%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(down 3.01%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 2.12%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 2.05%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(down 1.91%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 1.60%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.42%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(down 1.37%) and Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(down 1.36%) were among the top losers of the day.

    The NSE Nifty50 index ended 127.7 points at 24466.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 363.99 points at 80369.03.

    State Bank of India(up 5.14%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.77%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.46%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.37%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 3.02%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.1%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.05%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.79%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.66%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.61%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 4.07%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 3.81%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.85%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.81%), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.71%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.65%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.61%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.58%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.58%) and Infosys Ltd.(down 1.4%) closed in the red.
