    Stock Market Live Updates Today: Sensex Rises 850 Points, Nifty Near 26,150; Bank Nifty Hits Record High

    Stock Market Live Updates, Indian Share Market News Today: Indian benchmarks were trading firmly higher on Wednesday, supported by strong global cues. At 12 noon, the Nifty50 was trading at 26,143.95, up 259.15 points or 1%, while the Sensex stood at 85,411.09, higher by 824.08 points or 0.97%.

    The combined market capitalization of all BSE-listed stocks jumped by Rs 4.23 lakh crore to about Rs 473.65 lakh crore.

    Global markets continued their three-day winning streak as investors priced in the likelihood of a US Federal Reserve rate cut in December 2025.

    On the Sensex, the top gainers included Tata Motors PV, Trent, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, L&T, Ultratech Cement, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, and Tech Mahindra.
    Bharti Airtel, HUL, and TCS were the only stocks trading in the red.

    In the broader markets, both the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap indices rose 1 per cent each.

    Among sectors, the Nifty Bank index hit a new all-time high of 59,497.75, up over 1 per cent. The broader rally was led by the Nifty Metal index (+1.69%), Nifty PSU Bank (+1.75%), Nifty Private Bank (+1%), and Nifty Financial Services (+1%).
