Stock market LIVE updates on Monday, July 15, 2024: Indian stock markets were trading in the positive zone on Monday. The BSE Sensex was quoting over 200 points, or 0.28 per cent, higher at 80,750. The NSE Nifty50, meanwhile, hit a record high of 24,633 in the intraday trade, crossing the 24,600-mark for the first time. HCL Tech, NTPC, SBI. Ultratech Cement, ITC, Tata Motors, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, M&M, and Sun Pharma were the top gainers on the Sensex index, rising up to 1.8 per cent.
In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap added 0.69 per cent, while the BSE SmallCap index gained 0.21 per cent.
Among sectors, the Nifty Pharma, and PSU Bank indices advanced over 1 per cent each, followed by the Nifty IT, and FMCG (up 0.5 per cent each).
