Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After the announcement of the ceasefire between Iran and the US, the Indian markets have welcomed the developments in West Asia with both hands. The Nifty is up nearly 800 points, rising towards 24,000. The Sensex is up over 2,600 points, jumping to 77,000.
The Brent Crude has fallen below the $94 per barrel. The Nifty Bank has surged over 2,200 points, jumping towards the 55,000 mark. These banking indices surged after the RBI MPC policy announcement that say the repo rate stable at 5.25%
Among the Nifty 500 stocks, some of the biggest gainers include Aditya Birla Real Estate, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors CV, Cholamandalam Holdings, JK Tyre and Prestige, among others.
For the Nifty, 24,000 levels are back in sight ahead of the start of this quarter’s earnings season. The Nifty Bank will also be key to watch as 1,000-point moves on either side have not been uncommon these days. That brings the 54,000 level in sight for the index too.
